With the launch of Verizon iPhone the market share of AT&T and Sprint will be further divided and shared with Verizon. This is still a thought but sounds quite realistic. With the emergence of this CDMA iPhone, a lot of people are going to switch to Verizon simply because they have not been too happy with the quality of network. This has been concluded from the survey that was conducted by Omnibus recently.
The survey that was done on a thousand customers from the United States led to a conclusion that more than 50% of the Verizon subscribers are going to buy the iPhone on Carrier network. About 23% of existing AT&T users, 20% of T-mobile users and 22% of the existing Sprint users are going to opt for the Verizon iPhone. Considering this possibility Verizon’s network needs to be ready for this kind of a strength using their network, else it is likely to collapse within no time.
They will have to cater for an ever increasing bandwidth. They either take advantage of this opportunity to increase their customer base or simply let it go and regret later for being ill prepared. It is believed that Apple will launch a CDMA phone which will be compatible with Verizon’s network. This is likely to happen around January next year. AT&T is already suffering from the heavy customer traffic in their own network that it can collapse any time if improvements are not made at the earliest. The pressure is felt by both Verizon and Apple and only time will tell who will live up to the customers’ expectations.

A near field communication (NFC) technology expert was hired by Apple in 2004. After he was hired there has been a feeling that Apple is working with iPhone system which is contactless. Benjamin Vigier, the NFC expert, also happens to be the new product manager at Apple for the mobile commerce section. While he was with mFoundry, he was the product manager of NFC, payment and mobile wallet applications. Here his job was to look after barcode payment service of Starbucks and PayPal mobile service. He has also rendered his services for conceiving and managing applications of mobile wallet for two of the topmost network operators of the United Sates. He has contributed to the NFC wallet application for 3 banks in the United States. He has worked for Bouygues Telecom and SanDisk.
Apple has applied for a number of patents in the past few months such as iCoupons, ibuy and iPay. These are a part of a mobile marketing and mobile commerce business that deal with iPhones which are NFC enabled. These patents include various services such as paying a customer or a trader using a credit or a debit card. Payment is possible even through iTunes credit. Another application is a part of the system where boarding a pass and ticketing for airline will be made possible for customers. This will enable customers to go through the security clearance on their own and also get themselves checked at the entrance. It will also be possible to transfer files using Grab and Go Patent.

FanSnap is the most well known and perhaps the largest search engine for booking tickets for live events. Fans book their tickets for the live concerts from FanSnap. The good news for the fans is that an application for iPods and iPhones has been launched. So fans that are keen on booking their seats for the NCAA and NFL football matches, can immediately go and get the iPhone app free of cost from iTunes app store. The NBA schedule has also been announced and there are some Broadway seasons coming up. This is an amazing way of ensuring that fans get their tickets even on the go.
The app is called the FanSnap tickets app and has about 15 mn concert, theatre and sports tickets available with them. For fans who want to get hold of the closest events’ tickets can buy the same even within a day with the help of FanSnap. There are a number of things fans can do.

In a real battle field at times there is information which can turn the course of the battle completely. It is precisely because of this reason that U.S. Army is considering use of mobile devices for use by soldiers. Imagine how much will an Army app help in locating a landmark in the battle field or even finding the current location. The Army has actually started working with the Google and Apple to come up with mobile devices. Lt. Gen Jeff Sorenson, U.S. Army chief information officer shared the aim behind this initiative. He said that it is a step towards exploring the new way of fighting a war. “…What I’m trying to do is to get capability to the war fighter much more rapidly…,”He added.
He also talked about an ad hoc arrangement which could pass through the bureaucratic procedures and make practical use of the opportunities that the private sector is presenting almost every single day. He also shared his vision of soldiers equipped with iPhones and Androids heading towards conducting a war mission. An event was conducted in Florida recently which produced 53 candidates who came up with different kinds of apps for iPhone for use by soldiers. The event was a grand success and prizes were also awarded worth $1,000 to $3,000.
There are a couple of websites where certain apps have been made available for download. This not only makes them go and use the apps for their routine tasks but also urges them to keep thinking of newer apps which could further help simplify their tasks in wartime too.

A new guy for Mobile Commerce has been hired by Apple and that too with loads of experience in near field communication (NFC). NFC is a technology used for a number of things. It is a high frequency but short range wireless technology which allows exchange of information among devices within the distance of about 4 inches. It is more of an extension of ISO/IEC 14443 that integrates the functionality of a reader as well as a smart card into a single gadget. It can communicate with other NFC devices as well as with ISO/IEC 14443 cards.
The technology finds itself to working well with all the wireless or contactless devices. It is already in use in various fields such as payments, transportation and so on. It is used in swipe cards, paying for purchased items through PayWave of Barclaycard, tickets being purchased through Oyster cards and even for opening a car. Benjamin Vigier, who has been the product manager for related applications, was employed for the same reason. This also does not mean that the technology will be a part of iPhone 5 but he thinks that it should have been. The whole thing should have been planned better and implemented with iPhone 5.
So even though Vigier does not implement NFC in iPhone 5 Apple will ensure that users still enjoy the convenience of similar features that will make life much easier. iPhone 5 is believed to have a 5 megapixel camera and is likely to be launched next year.

People give a few basic reasons for jailbreaking their iPhone 4s is to unlock it to work on the T-Mobile network or to use as a connection to the internet for all their mobile devices are the most common reasons any iPhone owner jailbreaks their phone.

Still there are so many other reasons to jailbreak the iPhone that there are too many to list. Here are five very good reasons to jailbreak your iPhone.

Cyntack is an app that only costs one buck but it adds a great feature to the iPhone 4. With Cyntack you can attach a picture to your contact that will actually display in the scroll list of contacts. Apple only displays the photo that is attached when you receive a call from that person. Now finding your contacts is easier with Cyntack.

Voicemail Forwarder adds even more features to your visual voicemail screen. For only $2.99 you can download Voicemail Forwarder and forward any voicemail to any email recipient. Share funny voicemails with all your friends.

Categories will organize all the apps on the springboard into folders. If you have tons of apps this is a great free tool. When you are in a folder you can scroll horizontally to display multiple screens of apps.

Cycorder is another free app that will allow you to use the iPhone camera as a video camera. Exports to QuickTime movies.

PDANet is what will let you tether the iPhone to your laptop. Use 3G or EDGE internet access with any device you own. With this app you do not have to sign up for AT&T’s twenty dollar a month tethering plan and it is a free app.

While it is speculation that the iPhone will be offered through Verizon many users are chomping at the bit to be able to buy one. There are rumors that a CDMA version of the iPhone is in development. If this is true then a significant slice of AT&T as well as Sprint customers would migrate to Verizon. Over half of Verizon customers say they would purchase the iPhone if they could keep their service through Verizon. That being said approximately one fourth of AT&T customers would switch carriers if they could continue to use their iPhones. This is bad news all around for AT&T.

The only thing is that the Verizon network is not any more ready to handle the added pressures of increased users that come with the iPhone. When this option becomes available, if it ever does, then all users would be facing bandwidth issues. If Verizon offered the iPhone it would compete directly with the Android.

These rumors of a Verizon iPhone have been circulating for over two years. The latest hint is that by January the device may become available. There are claims that a prototype is being tested now.

The real winner would be Apple. They could significantly increase their sales if they offered the iPhone through a variety of carriers. And as the dust settles after users have the ability to negotiate the best rate plan for them then the service should improve as well.

You can switch carriers today with an iPhone unlocking solution.

With the availability of new jailbreaks for the iPhone 4 additional servers have had to be added to handle the capacity. If you experience problems downloading iPhone unlocking solutions it could be due to high traffic to the site. Your download may get stuck somewhere in the process. It is recommended that you have your phone in Airplane Mode when you are connecting.

If you ever get stuck with either a blank or purple screen then an error has occurred. You will have to begin again. Before you try to re-install the iPhone unlocking software be sure to clear the temporary data files as well as the cache. This must be performed on the iPhone device by performing the following steps.

1) place the iPhone into Airplane mode which is found in the General Settings of the phone
2) in Settings go to Safari then Cookies then Accept
3) tap the home button twice
4) If you are in multitask mode press and hold to quit Safari
5) Clear the cookies and Cache in Safari Settings

You may have to repeat this process if your iPhone 4 repeats getting hung up somewhere in the download process.

Jailbreaking the iPHone 4/3Gs is tricky but it can be accomplished. With demand high on the servers as millions of people attempt to install the iPhone unlocking solution products you may have to try a different server. If you continue to have issues you may want to wait to install software during less peak hours.

There was a time that the App Store did not exist. The only way to have more functionality was to use web-based apps and Apple only provided those. The selection was very limited. This lead individuals to discover ways to gain access to the hard drive of the iPhone. When they did this they were able to install software that they created. Pretty soon iPhone owners became aware of these individuals and they wanted to be able to do the same thing to their iPhones. Many iPhone owners entrusted their devices to these individuals to jailbreak their phones.

It was not very long before these same individuals developed software methods to jailbreak the iPhone. When software methods became available individuals were able to jailbreak their own devices. No longer did they have to take their phone to someone to jailbreak it for them.

Even after the App Store opened the demand for jailbreaking did not wane. There was just so much more you could do with your iPhone when you jailbroke it especially in the beginning. Over time Apple incorporated many of the features that jailbreakers liked into the native features of the iPhone. Still that has not prevented the desire of millions of iPhone owners from jailbreaking their devices.

When you jailbreak the iPhone you can unlock it to negotiate a better rate plan with the carriers in your area. You can install apps that allow you to use the iPhone as a mobile WiFi Hotspot. You have your choice of content. You can even find pirated apps that you can install to try out prior to purchasing them.
